About Sierra Structural

Sierra Consulting Structural Engineers was founded by native Nevadan’s and our goal is to provide the highest quality structural engineering to clients of all types: architects, contractors, developers, casino owners, and timeshare and high rise residential developers requiring structural engineering services throughout the region and the country.

Jason and Aaron both have strong roots planted in Nevada, as all were raised and educated in the State of Nevada. Jason grew up in Ely, Nevada, and after graduating from White Pine High School he went on to study engineering at the University of Nevada in Reno. Aaron was born and raised in Las Vegas, attending Clark High School and going on to the University of Nevada in Reno to study engineering.

Both partners have more than 20 years of combined experience in structural engineering design and construction in the State of Nevada. During that time, all have gained invaluable experience in almost every conceivable type of project: ranging from enormous casino and convention lowrises, 45-and 50-story hotel/condominium towers, specialized exotic animal exhibits, transportation services for the Las Vegas Monorail, central utility plants servicing casinos and convention centers to schools, churches, restaurants and custom homes and remodels. Throughout the valley, the staff of Sierra Consulting Structural Engineers have contributed to the design of nearly every major project on “The Strip” including Mandalay Bay, The Excaliber, MGM Grand, Luxor, Bellagio, New York, New York, Aladdin, Paris, The Venetian, The Mirage, Wynn Resort, and Caesar’s Palace.

Sierra Consulting Structural Engineers can provide a full range of structural expertise in any type of project, beginning with determining what type of system is best suited for that particular project through permitting the project and providing construction administration until completion of the project. Our main objective is to provide safe and durable structures while at the same time always considering the economics of constructing the structure, ensuring the most efficient use of the owners’ invested money. We have vast construction administration knowledge, and are always willing to look at alternative means and methods of construction, cooperating with architects, contractors and owners to provide the best end product possible while at the same time not sacrificing public safety.

The professional staff of Sierra Consulting Structural Engineers have extensive experience in projects having all types of sizes, schedules and budgets. Sierra Consulting has the staff and expertise to provide the highest quality full service structural engineering. Sierra Consulting is currently working on projects of all types, including two new mid-rise hotels and parking garages in Las Vegas, Cheesecake Factory restaurants throughout the country, distribution centers, several office complexes and warehouses ranging from 20,000 square feet to almost 200,000 square feet in Las Vegas, several churches in rural Nevada as well as Las Vegas, Houlihan’s Restaurant in Illinois, Missouri, and Texas and Grand Lux Restaurants in New York and Florida, casino remodels, medical office buildings, as well as several large custom homes ranging from 4,500 to 25,000 square feet in Nevada and California. Additionally, Sierra Consulting has provided design-build engineering services for exterior framing systems for major projects in Las Vegas including The Residences at the MGM, the Platinum High Rise, the Southcoast Casino lowrise, Town Square, Allure Las Vegas and The Palazzo. We are also currently working jointly with a design-build group on a program to provide dock storage facilities in several ports throughhout the country, consisting of 600,000 square foot four and five-level garages. Sierra Consulting Structural Engineers is licensed in almost twenty five states throughout the country, with several other states pending.

Jason and Aaron have both been life-long born and raised Nevada residents and have a strong commitment to not only the state as a whole but especially the local Las Vegas Valley community.
